The main goal has been to bridge the gap between the common misconceptions and misunderstanding that have developed between the two countries in the past 50 years. These students hope to bridge that gap and create a unified alliance that spreads all around the world; a message that promotes mutual respect through common roots.

Using all of the great features the cultures have to offer, they are aiming to encourage pride and encouragement in young South Asians.  Being from a region with such cultural and religious diversity, the conference hopes to highlight some of these very items that make us so colorful. From sports, to music to understanding why it is so important for us to help progress those back home- the conference will be providing an exciting facet to our countries.
The event will moonlight Penn Masala and several dance performances by Rutgers very own student organizations.
PS. THAAKAT FOUNDATION will be holding a non profit workshop at 12:15 pm and 2 pm tomorrow during the conference session, please do join us.
PPS. All proceeds from the event will be donated to THAAKAT FOUNDATION’s global project in Pendakwali, India where we are working in partnership with Project Greenlight to provide light to a village with zero electricity. Please visit our global projects tab to learn more about our efforts in this hopeful village.
